Our monthly speakers will share their expertise on such varied topics as new varieties of natural grasses, how the Grand River Conservation Authority protects our natural habitat, invasive species and landscaping with shrubs.
Our members are not a bunch of master gardeners. They simply enjoy an evening with excellent speakers , usually accompanied by outstanding photographs , but always accompanied with fellowship and refreshments after each presentation.

What is a Community Health Center?
A Community Health Center (CHC) is a non-profit community governed organization that provides primary care services and health promotion programs.
CHCs employ multidisciplinary teams including doctors, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, registered dietitians, social workers and community health workers. Health Promotion is the process of enabling people to increase control over, and to improve their health by focusing on the determinates of health.
The North Dumfries CHC began providing services in 2004 and moved into its current location in June 2009.
Who can become a patient of the CHC?
The catchment area for the CHC satellite includes North Dumfries Township as well as two communities in Oxford County and one community in Wilmot Township. These communities include: Ayr , Roseville , Bright , Drumbo , Reidsville , Canning , Washington , New Dundee , Plattsville , Branchton and Clyde

In 2005 a group of local young families joined together to respond to the need for a community centre in North Dumfries. They envisioned a complex that would include a new arena, a community health centre, a gathering place for youth and seniors and a multi-use space for community groups. A place to unite the whole community, where everyone, young and old, can come together to live and play. A place to enjoy fitness, sports, health, creativity, recreation and a sense of community pride.
Building Our Future – A First-Class Facility!
The recreation centre has a scheduled completion date of March 2011 and has plans to include:
