1930's Fire Truck Restoration by Ayr Fire Fighters
The Ayr Fire Fighters are applying for a grant to complete a restoration of a 1930's North Dumfries fire truck. This project is being taken on by the Ayr Fire Fighters, by donating their time and effort to work on the truck. If you would like to help you can donate funds as well as by writing a letter to support the grant application. Letters should touch on the importance that this restoration would mean to our community's heritage.
Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant for Flooring at NDCC Walking Track
Township of North Dumfries Mayor Rob Deutschmann announced today that the Township will be receiving a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to install flooring on the Steven and Carol Lowe Heritage Transportation Group Walking Track at the North Dumfries Community Complex (NDCC). A group of approximately 20 members of the community, along with MPP Rob Leone, Trillium Foundation representative Molly Kriksic and North Dumfries Ward 3 Councillor Gord Taylor were on hand for this morning’s announcement at the NDCC.
