Men vs. Women: The Gender Gap in Literature

Wednesdays 6:30 – 8 p.m., Jan. 18 – March 7, 2012

Community Literature Series continues at the Ayr Library.

For Winter 2012, Community Lit. will explore great works of writing that address this issue of the gender gap from a wide variety of angles and methods, seeking to answer, once and for all, what separates men from women and, perhaps more importantly, what consequences emerge from this fundamental divide.

Starting Wednesday January 11th at 9am there will be a seniors walking club at the North Dumfries Community Complex.

It does not cost anything to be a part of the group and no registration is necessary. Bring your running shoes for some exercise around the track followed by coffee in the Senior's Lounge at 10:00am.

This program will run every Wednesday at 9am so come on out, meet some people and get some exercise!

Children’s Programs at the Ayr Branch Library start January 17 & 18

CTV Southwestern repored on the solemn Rememrance Day Ceremony in Ayr on Sunday.  The video includes footage of the parade that started at Christ Anglican Church and concluded with a service at the Cenotaph in downtown Ayr.  The video also features an interview with North Dumfries Ward 1 Councilor, Sue Foxton.
